Wintec saddles offer lightweight, weatherproof and easy-care options for everyday riding, competition and time on the trail. The range includes all-purpose, dressage, stock, half-breed, endurance and pony saddles, so riders can choose a design suited to their discipline as well as their horse’s shape.

Can a Wintec saddle be adjusted as my horse changes shape?
Most Wintec saddles have an EASY-CHANGE Gullet System that lets the width at the front of the saddle be changed. Saddles with the full EASY-CHANGE Fit Solution also have risers that allow the panel depth and saddle balance to be fine-tuned. These features are useful when a horse develops muscle, changes weight or returns to work, but the complete fit still needs to be checked.

Will any Wintec fit a wide horse if I put in a wider gullet?
No. Wintec’s WIDE saddles have a different tree and chamber designed for broader horses. They use their own WIDE gullet plates, from 1XW to 4XW. A WIDE plate must not be fitted into a standard Wintec saddle, or a standard plate into a WIDE saddle. Start with the saddle model that suits the horse’s overall back shape, then select the appropriate width.

What about a horse with high withers?
Wintec offers saddles designed for high-withered horses. A suitable model must provide clearance over the withers and along the spine while remaining balanced and making even contact through its panels. A narrower gullet in an unsuitable saddle will not necessarily achieve that fit.

What is HART?
HART stands for Horse and Rider Technology. A Wintec saddle carrying the HART badge combines the CAIR Cushion System, EASY-CHANGE Fit Solution, Elastiflex Tree, performance panels and comfort seat technology. Check the individual product listing: Wintec saddles without the HART badge may have some fitting features without having all five.

Do Wintec pony saddles and kids’ pads adjust in the same way?
No. The fitting features depend on the product. For example, Wintec pony saddles in the range can have an EASY-CHANGE system, while the Wintec Kids pad has a fixed gullet. A pony’s back length and the child’s seat size must both be considered when choosing a saddle.

How can I tell whether my Wintec saddle fits?
